They may get a little odd at times but stick with them until the end. Seriously, they will make a big difference.

Coca-Cola On The Toilet Bowl

Keeping the toilet clean is essential. The sights and smells that can come from an unclean toilet are not worth thinking about. The problem is that a lot of household cleaners are not up to the job as they lack the strength. Most are watered down to increase profits, plus there are rules and regulations on what they can provide. Forget about them for a while and concentrate on something stronger – Coca-Cola.  Coke is a great cleaner as it contains everything you need to lift stubborn stains. The sugar is a corrosive, and the bicarbonate is full of energy. Put the two together and you have a powerful cleaning solution. Kool-Aid also works just as well, and it is cheaper at 25 cents a packet.

Vinegar And Smelly Towels

Everyone has a towel that smells horrendous. The conventional thing to do is to throw it away, but that would be a waste. You can, in fact, save any towel that stinks with the help of vinegar and lemon juice. When you mix the two together, you get a very powerful solution that gets into the fabric of the towels. The vinegar is especially important as it also gives them back their fluffiness. The lemon, on the other hand, adds a fresh scent that overpowers the stench of before. Your old towels will look and feel as good as new with this partnership.

The Magic Microwave

Wouldn’t it be amazing if you didn’t have to bother cleaning the house because it did it for you? Well, there are some appliances that can clean themselves. The microwave is one such appliance. You can use the radiation to lift the food that sticks to the floor and the walls of the microwave with lemon juice and vinegar. Yep, the gruesome twosome is more than a towel buffer. Let the microwave heat up the solution and then let it cool. Once it drops to a lukewarm temperature, use it to wipe away the grime. The mixture washes away grease in the blink of an eye.

Olive Oil And Salt For The Coffee Table

In fact, this method works on any wood furniture, but the coffee table is the main example. Most coffee tables show their age after a couple of years with rings on the surface. But, don’t rush out to buy a new table just yet because you can get rid of the rings with oil and salt. All you have to do is mix the two together and then gently rub it on the table. The olive oil should soak into the wood and allow the salt to eat away at the stains. Please don’t worry if this doesn’t work right away because it is a slow burner. It takes the oil a while to get deep enough into the surface, so give it some time. Wipe away the first mixture and then go about your day. When you come back, the rings should start disappearing before your eyes.

Steam Clean

The one thing that you can count on in your time of need is steam. Steam is very powerful when used correctly because it is boiling water. Steam is perfect for household stains due to the moisture. The moisture of the water lifts the stain as it gets deep into fabric and strips it away from the material. Quite simply, that is why steam cleaners are worth their weight in gold. Whether you are looking to clean the carpet or strip the paint off the walls, steam is the best option.

Iron Out Stains

If you don’t have a steam cleaner to hand, you can always use an iron. An iron and a damp cloth are the homemade equivalent of a cleaner and work just as well. Plus, it couldn’t be easier to use. Place the cloth over the stain and press down with a hot iron. The iron has to be red hot or else the trick won’t work. The steam from the iron and cloth work in the same way as a steamer and lift the stain from the carpet.
