The first “Wind Farm” project in the Philippines is located at Bangui Ilocos Norte. It consists of wind turbines on-shore facing the South China Sea and considered to be the biggest in Southeast Asia.
It resembles a huge, rather gigantic electric fan which are meant to generate electricity and contributes a lot of renewable energy to reduce the greenhouse effect which causes global warming.
It does not only help generate energy but it became a popular tourist attraction in the North too. One of the places I would like to visit and enjoy the mesmerizing views and sceneries in the future. A family friend just went on vacation there a week ago and brought me home this mini-replica of the renowned wind mill. The more that I became more enthusiastic to go for a holiday there one of these days.
