The combo of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor is called a hybrid vehicle.  This invention has been claimed as a solution to the high priced gasoline.
A Hybrid car uses a gas engine and electric motor, two distinct power sources to move it. It is designed for fuel efficiency.  The use of electricity as a fuel burns less gasoline and ultra low emissions, thus making it eco-friendly.  It is amazing that batteries are almost never replaced. The battery packs are designed to last for the lifetime of the vehicle, estimated between 150,000 and 200,000 miles. Compared to a conventional car, it guarantees less or no cost of maintenance at all.
Cars with advanced hybrid systems may propel themselves short distances before restarting the engine, further improving fuel economy.  Truly, the hybrid technology shows remarkable features but it is also very expensive, imagine a Php 3,000,000 for a car, whoa!  Maybe the price will get down, once more competitive car manufacturers’ launch their version of hybrid cars.  Well, for the meantime, we will still stick to our conventional vehicle for we can still help the green campaign in some other ways
