Petroleum Jelly also known as petrolatum is a semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons which  contains no chemicals or perfumes thus makes it safe to use as an all over body moisturizer to maintain smooth and supple skin especially for people having sensitive skin. I always have petroleum jelly available in my medicine cabinet. It is a multi-purpose ointment for a variety of uses.

It has been known as one of the beauty secrets that can improve skin being oil based emollient; it is a perfect long lasting lubricant that can give a soft and well-hydrated skin.

It helps in healing dry, cracked callous feet

It can be used as a lip moisturizer

Applying petroleum jelly to wounds decreases inflammation and minimizes infection rates, helping the wound to heal fast.
