Working from home doesn’t mean we have to forgo our “Hello happy Friday” tradition which lets the weekend begin. After a week of hard work, we can reward ourselves by drinking Korean soju at home. Spare and spend a few bucks for a no-hassle cocktail drink to enjoy with our family or just for a relaxing lazy evening at home while watching your favorite Korean drama.
Over the years, Korean soju is the most popular alcoholic drink. The rise of K-drama fever, the continued and rising popularity of K-pop music and the numerous Korean barbecue restaurants made it more popular around the world.
Soju tastes like sweeter vodka yet it is light. It is easy to drink soju because of its low alcohol content not yet to mention that it is more affordable compared to other liquors with similar alcohol percentage.
With the increasing number of Korean stores and KBBQ restaurants in the Philippines, HITEJINRO PHILIPPINES aims to provide the most authentic and flavorful Korean drinking experience to Filipinos by making it available via online delivery and in supermarkets & convenience stores nationwide!
While the Classic and flavored soju is a delicious drink on its own, there is another way you can one-up your soju drinking spree to enjoy and impress your drinking buddies and that is to make a soju cocktail.
You can make different kinds of cocktail mixes with Korean soju. It can be made easily at home with only two to three ingredients that can be found in your local supermarkets and grocery stores.
Soju and Yakult bomb
Yogurt soju is my favorite and the best tasting cocktail for me, it’s just like drinking a refreshing juice, enjoying the creamy sour probiotic goodness of Yakult blended well with the lemony flavor of sprite and Jinru Chamisol Fresh which will get me a little tipsy at the same time. It only needs three ingredients to make this magical cocktail.
Soju + Yakult Recipe:
3 oz Chamisul Original or the Chamisul Fresh Soju
3 oz Sprite
3 oz Yakult Probiotic Drink
Just mix Yakult, Sprite and soju in your cocktail mixer or into the shadiest bucket you have at home. Add in the ice, shake, shake, shake and Voila! you can already serve it just pouring in shot glasses.
Other ways to mixing up your soju
Aside from Yakult + soju bomb, there are still other ways to make an easy-peasy soju cocktails using other ingredients:
Somaek – soju + beer
Melona-ju – soju + melona + cider
Cojinganmek – soju + coca cola + beer
