We are very familiar with Hybrid cars. It uses two or more distinct power sources to move the vehicle. But, are you aware that there is also a hybrid radio? It has 3 sources of power supply to play the radio.
It has a built-in rechargeable battery, a compartment for batteries and a power cord.
It was already two years ago since I bought this small hybrid radio. Prior to it, I was using the Boom box, aside that it is too big it also consumes more electricity when plugged. I want a small and portable radio that I can bring with me around the house, that is when I cook in the kitchen, or when I do the laundry.
I find it very useful especially during brownouts and calamities. I am always updated on the latest news and happenings as I always turned it on in the morning to accompany me while I do my house chores.
A radio is one of the must-haves in our survival kit during calamities and emergencies. It is one of my best buy home appliance.
Indeed, radio with rechargeable batteries is a must-have for every family. 🙂

We need this in our province. Everytime may bagyo, nawawalan kmi ng kuryente and radio is the only way para makasagap kmi ng balita. Where can we buy one?

which reminds me, i need to get one of those because my hand radio just died on us and we need it to keep abreast with the news especially when there's a storm or some happenings are going on.
it's a necessity for every Filipino home, regardless of the techy everyone is, when all fails, it's still the radio we relied on.
I heard and read a lot about a hybrid plants, but not this one, hybrid radio. Why did it become a hybrid radio? Something attached to it, something modified in its parts to make it "hybrid" (improved breed (kind) to yield more, or to become more productive). What I know "hybrid" technically is applied to plants and animals, but not in media or technology.

Radio's will always be needed in times of boredom and calamities. Naalala ko we have one when I was like 14, we always listen to a radio station and we enjoyed it.

my mom sells that radio, we are the only one in the neighborhood that has an access to news during typhoon. That radio is awesome it can be charge and use it

I think it's available in any appliance store, i bought mine at SM appliance store, it has a built in rechargeable battery, or just in case you can also use D size battery, hehe you're right 🙂
